Hybrid cars face the challenge that they can drive and the combustion engine does not run. Thus, the gasoline in the tank can evaporate and create a pressure increase in the tank. The pressure in the tank must be controlled for this purpose we deliver Fuel Tank Isolation Valves (FTIV).
The fuel tank isolation valve can be opened electrically and also opens automatically based on a spring loaded diaphragm.
Also for vacuum which might occur due to falling temperatures, e.g. if a car is parked overnight, our FTIV copes with this demand as it automatically opens without auxiliary energy.
