Security Trade Control

Our company pursues the appropriate implementation of Security Trade Control from the perspectives of adhering to the law and performing our CSR as follows. When exporting our company’s products, parts or relevant technologies, an export license may be required in compliance with Foreign Exchange and Foreign Trade Law of Japan.

What is Security Trade Control?

Security Trade Control is one of the means to maintain international peace and security. In Japan, export of commodities or release of technologies subject to List Control or Catch All Control (End Use Control) requires prior approval from the Government of Japan in accordance with Foreign Exchange and Foreign Trade Law.

• What is List Control?
  Items subject to Attachment List No.1 to Export Trade Control Order, Category 1-15 or technologies subject to Attachment List to Foreign Exchange Order, Category 1-15 are subject to List Control. One who is going to export/transfer such items or technologies is required to obtain an appropriate license from the Government of Japan.
• What is Catch All Control – End Use Control?
  All items except those subject to List Control, food products and timbers are subject to Catch-all Control if it is deemed to be used for development of weapons of mass destruction or conventional weapons. One who is going to export/transfer such items is required to obtain an appropriate license from the Government of Japan.
